DON’T GIVE-UP! TAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS WHAT YOU WANT TO BECOME IN CAREER. – By MaddaliSwetha

You might be hearing this story many times about body and mind reflexes experiment of frog and hot water.

In brief,

Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water.

As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature...

Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore...

At that point, the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature...

Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog?

Many of us would say the boiling water...But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.

We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to confront/face.

There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action...

If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so...
We have to decide when to jump.

Why I mentioned about this story?

*When I want to do MBA, my family members decided to see matches for marriage. But I am completely discomfort about their decision like the person who I need to marry. They have kept many rules and I need to stop my dream – MBA…..But things are not in my hands I obeyed elder’s words….seen the person who is the richest person in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (3rd generation person of their gold business).

Days are going on……. I was unable to take decision….finally I said strongly to my entire and their family members that “I want to do MBA I am not interested in him to marry” so my family members obeyed my words and cancelled that match I continued my higher education.

MY CONCLUSION:

*If I were listened to my elders words and that to marry that particular person I may stuck up in graduation itself and in my future just by seeing my certificates I may well depressed about by discontinued MBA. So, I took life risk decision and managed to do MBA by convincing all elders in my family. And now I am MBA graduate also Blog Writer.

Higher education is not easy for a girl. Just think about it………..

Since two months my parents are suggesting me to go for any programs that will help for relaxation and loss weight. I am not satisfied about this because when I grew up automatically the body weight increase but for that I choose Running, Swimming, Skipping, Walking, Healthy food and diet, good water, reading books that motivate me and good music that makes me dance for 20mins a day. But, my parents are suggesting me to choose any fitness Centre for mind and body. Okay! This is not only my problem but also I am observing in city too. Let’s make a view of what kind of fitness centers available in city.

1. Om Shanti Om:

Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, (Brahma Kumaris in short) is a unique Vishwa Vidyalaya (university) and a well-known spiritual value based educational institution. Through its teachings, the institution has gained global acceptance and unique international recognition. Sri Sri is a spiritual teacher.  He has rekindled the traditions of yoga and meditation and has offered them in a form that works in the 21st century. By reviving ancient wisdom, Sri Sri has created new techniques for personal and social transformation. These include a powerful technique called Sudarshan Kriya which has helped millions of people to find relief from stress and discover inner reservoirs of energy and peace in daily life. 5. Why gym is important?

Some people say that they hate the idea of joining a gym. They perceive it as being regimented, hard work, unpleasant and competitive. But the reality is often very different. There are many very positive reasons for joining a gym that support us in unexpected ways in our lives.

- It’s paid for in advance. The fact is that for many people paying for something means that they are more likely to use it. That alone can provide the motivation to exercise regularly and make a commitment to going to the gym. And having paid in advance or having a regular monthly payment taken out of our bank account means that the money aspect is sorted automatically without us really having to think about it. Personal gym programme.

Being a member provides the opportunity to have a personal programme that is tailored to suit the specific needs of each person. This will be regularly updated and may even incorporate nutritional and remedial advice, if required. And there is someone on hand to ensure that the equipment is being used safely and properly. Stress management. Taking regular time to exercise is an important commitment both to ourselves and to our health. Allowing half an hour for a swim before work or at the end of the day can provide an important interlude in which to switch off and calm the mind. Some people find that calling at the gym for a while after work, before they go home draws an important line underneath the day’s concerns and worries. They are able to exercise and then go home, looking forward to the evening ahead.

 6. Ramakrishna Math:

Concerned about the gradual erosion of moral and spiritual values in every sphere of life and activity, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, felt the urgent need for starting an institute to impart the age-old cherished ideals and values aimed at providing, what the great patriot-monk Swami Vivekananda had said, ‘life-building, man-making, character-making and nation-building', education and training.

9. Swami Ramdev:

"Today people say that Ayurveda and Yoga are alternative treatments but I say allopathy is an alternative system of medicine. How can you call a science, which is 2000 years old, an alternative science, when allopathy is hardly 200 years old and I am just practicing the words of Patanjali which are already written? I want to eradicate the physical and mental illnesses of the society by teaching Yoga and Pranayam. Actually, the saints who have discovered it, were scientists and there is no match of it with allopathy". ...Swami Ramdev.

DO NOT EAT POTATOES – IT WILL INCREASE OVERWEIGHT GAIN. IS IT TRUE? - By MaddaliSwetha

Potatoes are one of the most common and important food sources on the planet, and they contain a wealth of health benefits that make them all the more essential as a staple dietary item for much of the world’s population.

In Brief,

Some of the advantages of potatoes nutrients:

1. Weight Gain: Potatoes are primarily made of carbohydrates and contain very little protein.

2. Digestion: Since potatoes predominantly contain carbohydrates, they are easy to digest and facilitate digestion. This property makes them a good diet for babies or for those who cannot digest hard food, but need energy. However, remember that eating too many potatoes on a regular basis may cause acidity over time.

3. Skin Care: Vitamin-C and B-complex as well as minerals like potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc are good for the skin. Apart from that, pulp obtained from crushed raw potatoes, mixed with honey, can work well in skin and face packs. This even helps to cure pimples and spots on the skin. Again, this pulp, if applied externally on burns, provides quick relief and faster healing. Smashed potatoes, and even water in which potatoes have been washed, are very good for softening and cleaning skin, especially around the elbows, and the back of the hands.

4. The vitamin-C present in potatoes can help prevent this disease, caused by a deficiency of vitamin-C. It is characterized by cracked lip corners, spongy and bleeding gums, and frequent viral infections.

5. Rheumatism: There are two parts to the effect of potatoes on this condition. Vitamins like the calcium and magnesium in potatoes help to provide relief from rheumatism. Also, water obtained from boiling potatoes can relieve the pain and inflammation of rheumatism.

6. Potatoes are very effective in reducing inflammation, both internal and external. Since it is soft, easily digested and has a lot of vitamin-C (a very good antioxidant that repairs tissue wear and tear), potassium and vitamin-B6, it can relieve any inflammation of the intestines and the digestive system. It is very good dietary element for those who have mouth ulcers as well.

7. The high levels of vitamin A and C both have antioxidant qualities that can protect your body from of cancer.

8. High Blood Pressure: Since high blood pressure can occur for a number of reasons that include diabetes, tension, indigestion, nutrient balance, food content and many others, different treatments are required. Luckily, potatoes can alleviate multiple possible causes; potatoes can be used to relieve high blood pressure due to tension.

9. Brain Function: Proper functioning of the brain depends largely on the glucose level, oxygen supply, various components of the vitamin-B complex and certain hormones, amino acids and fatty acids like omega-3. Potatoes cater to almost all the needs mentioned above. They are high in carbohydrates, and thereby maintain good levels of glucose in the blood. This prevents the brain from letting fatigue creep in and it keeps your cognitive activity and performance high.

10. Heart Diseases: Apart from the vitamins (B-complex, C), minerals and roughage, potatoes also contain certain substances called Carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin). Carotenoids are beneficial for heart health and the functioning of other internal organs.

11. Kidney Stones: Kidney Stones, also known as Renal Calculi, are caused mainly due to increased levels of uric acid in the blood. In such cases, foods high in protein should be avoided, particularly animal proteins such as meat, turkey, shrimp, fish, eggs, and milk, as well as spinach, raw plantain, black grams and certain beans, which drastically increase the level of uric acid in the blood. Iron and calcium also contribute to forming the stones. Potatoes are rich in both of these so logically, they wouldn’t fit in as a preventative measure of kidney stones, but they also contain magnesium, which inhibits the accumulation or deposition of calcium (calcification) in the kidney and other tissues, thereby proving beneficial for treatment of renal calculi.

12. Diarrhea: Potatoes are an excellent component of an energy-rich diet for those suffering from diarrhea, since it is very easy to digest.

Some Interesting Facts about Potatoes:

1. Potatoes are America's most used and favorite vegetable.

2. The world's favorite root vegetable, the potato comes in innumerable varieties.

3. If you have food potato allergies then best way to ignore it.
4. The potato was first domesticated in the region of modern-day southern Peru and extreme northwestern Bolivia between 8000 and 5000 BC.

5. Varieties include:

*Delaware: May have a gnarled, ugly appearance due to growing conditions, but cooks quite well

*Nadine: Shiny, cream-skinned with shallow eyes and is available in gourmet sizes but has little flavor and due to high moisture content does not fry well.

*Ruby Lou: Pink-skinned with white flesh and good flavor that performs very well in all cooking.

*Desiree: Pink-skinned with yellow flesh and good flavor that performs quite well except in frying.

*Royal Blue: Long, oval-shaped with purple skin and yellowy flesh that performs extremely well in all cooking.

*Kestrel: Creamy white skin with pink blue eyes and cream flesh, it cooks well in all areas, fries well and has good flavor.

*Carling ford: Creamy-white skin, white flesh, excellent flavor and is best boiled but also good in other ways except frying.(Source – wiki)

My Conclusion:

*Last week I went to my mother’s home town I met one of my neighbor discussing about her beauty such as hair fall, pimples and dandruff. So I suggested her to add potatoes in food diet immediately, she started saying – “No swetha I should not eat potatoes. Potatoes cause heavy over weight and kill the beauty of skin”.

*Now a day’s students are not concentrating on food but giving more importance for beauty.

*I am not only suggesting her and also you who are reading this article, potatoes are very good for health it does not lead to overweight. And it will not damage the beauty of the skin.

*Even potatoes chips are also good for health.
